Pain on lower left side of abdomin

in 1st Trimester

I'm new to this site and I was wondering if any one could help me with a quick question this is my first child and I'm 12 weeks and 3 day along and I've started getting this sharp pain in my what I'm assuming is my ovary today. I have been constipated for a few days but have been able to go a little bit here and there but not much. Could it be a cyst? If so is it ok durring pregnancy? Or is it just from being constipated?

    I don't know if this will help you since I am only a little over 6 weeks but I was having a similar pain in my lower left abdomen so I called my doctors office and requested an early ultrasound because I thought maybe it was coming from my left ovary as well. Everything was fine and I even gor to hear my baby's heartbeat. My doctor explained that since the egg came from my left ovary it is normal to feel pain and tenderness which usually lasts through the first trimester.

    You heard the babies heart beat at just 6 weeks? At my 6 week u/s they were only able to see the heartbeat next week is when we get to hear the heartbeat.....

    Thank you very much I called my sister who has three kids she said the same thing all my ultrasounds have come back great heart beat is wonderful just got me a little nervous

    Yes, I have the same thing.. I'm at 5 weeks.  I got an ultrasound today because I was thinking of an ectopic pregnancy, but everything turned out just fine.

    It could also be constipation or a gas bubble caused by constipation. Or maybe round ligament pain (I get it in that area A LOT).

    Yes we were actually able to hear a clear HB that the DR said was strong at only 6 weeks and 2 days. I was surprised too!
