    It is also in a lot of other food products in very small qualities, since it is used in all kinds of cleaning products and plastics.  Formula keeps a lot of kids healthy and alive and is a very important option for a lot of families.  I am glad we have the FDA to prevent the type of mass contamination of the milk supply that occurred in China.  Food in general is much safer than it ever has been historically before and formula is too.

    I saw this too. Even though it's not intentional and its a tiny amount I think it indicates that we need to re-examine food safety practices. Melamine, BPA, mad cow, e.coli... the FDA needs reform.

    I plan to breastfeed, but so many people depend on formula to be safe for their babies. We need to make sure it stays safe.
