Re: whiney baby?

  • It's just a kid phase.

I have a naturally happy, easy going baby and even she has taken up whining.

Like you said, some days are great and the next I'm out of mind.

I just relax and pour some wine. She's just learning to communicate the only way she knows how.

I also have noticed, she gets really whiney right before a big milestone. Like she was whiney a good share of last week and Bam! she walked. Same with teeth, crawling or anything of the like.

All kids whine..usually for years...lol..there's not much you can do about it until they're old enough to understand.

  • DD has been a champion whiner (title previously held by me, says my dad...) the last few days. We've been moving, and I think her schedule still being thrown off a little, by going to bed a little later and sometimes having to wait for dinner until later than usual, is getting to her. When she's just constantly doing that closed-mouth MMMM!!! MMMMM!!!!, sometimes I just say her name kinda firmly or tell her to stop, and she snaps out of it.

  • Yep, whiny baby here too! It is hit or miss- some days she is fine, and some days it is just a whine fest. I figure this too shall pass. Hang in there :)
  • My LO was SUPER whiney the last few weeks.  Then she got a tooth, and nothing changed!  Ugh.  Then 2 days ago, the other tooth!  (Which we weren't expecting.)  Suddently, no more whining!

She also just learned how to crawl and pull herself up to standing.

Lots must be going on in her little brain.
