another stripping question...

sorry, being a pain....

those that were stripped and it actually worked.... did you feel anything right away or the effects don't start for a while?

I know it can take up to 3 days but did you feel "something" right away even before labor really started?

  • It increased my contraction strength and made me massively loose my mp... like... dang... but it didnt get me rolling like I hoped it would.

edit: It happened a few hours later.

  • I disagree that it can take 3 days, most people say that labor that starts within 24 hours of a membrane stripping can be attributed to the procedure, the rest is just coincidental.

  • I had cramping & spotting for the rest of the day when I had it done, but did not go into labor untill several days later so I don't know if it started anything or was just coincidence.

  • The first two times I had my membranes stripped I just had cramping.

The third time? I had cramping that lead to contractions and then baby was born 24 hours later Smile

  • I had my membranes stripped on a Friday and my daughter was born on Sunday. I had what I'd describe as an irritated uterus feeling (almost like it was in a state of half-contraction a lot of the time), but nothing major. I don't even know if it helped for certain; it may have been coincidental.
