How did you feel after getting methotrexate? Was it a shot? I'm leaning towards the methotrexate because I want to avoid surgery and we're going to be TTA for a while anyways.
Hi hun. It's 2 shots. Same as a trigger shot (I think you did that), in the butt muscle...1 on each side. I felt fine afterwards. It was more emotional than physical. I had some tummy issues, but I don't think it was from the shot. I didn't see an update from you...what happened at your appointment? It has to be too early to see anything, so how could they even do surgery if they don't know where it is? I'm here if I can help, please don't hesitate to ask.
3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13
I am so sorry BEB! I actually had to take methotrexate (pill form) after delivering Aidan because at my f/u they saw some tissue left over. It made me a little loopy. I was told I would feel cramping because it would cause contractions. I was given a script of motrin with it...but didn't take it. I felt no cramping but it did work.
((HUGE HUGS)) to you my friend.

Also, everyone is different, but I didn't start bleeding until a few days after and then it continued on and off until my hcg was 0. That was the most annoying part, the constant reminder.

I didn't update. I am grateful for all the support I was shown on pgal yesterday, but I just don't have the energy or emotional capacity right now to deal with a an update thread. I figure I'll just update once I get all the info or after I begin treatment for this.
My RE doesn't know- yet. He's going to make his best 'medical guess' based on my betas tomorrow, which I completely trust. Also, I'm bleeding, but so lightly- just like with my ectopic. He did an u/s today but did not see anything besides a thick lining.
Back in November when I saw him the first time, he couldn't see a thing on my u/s, but due to my abnormal betas he believed it was ectopic, and he was right. The surgery was more exploratory than anything (I asked him to look around for other things that he could fix while he was in there, 2 for 1 surgery basically). Given my prior HSG with a suspected partial blockage in my right tube (dye slowly moved into that side) he made his best medical guess. I'm glad he did because my tube was so enlarged I probably would not have made it through Thanksgiving without my tube rupturing!

Thanks hon.
Sounds like it might be finally time to invest in a heating pad if this is the route I have to take. Thank you for sharing your experience
