first ultrasound - worried

I would like your thoughts/ experience
2 weeks ago, I started having positive early pregnancy tests.  I took a blood test and they thought i was about 4 weeks along - they scheduled my ultrasound for today.  The tech was only able to see a gestational sac - and it looked like i was 5 weeks 1 day.
So...if you went through this..were you worried?  What were you worried about?
I have had one pregnancy and my daughter is now 2.  I do feel pregnant - nauseaus in the morning, tired in the afternoon.  
I'm not going back for another ultrasound for almost 2 weeks.  I would like to know if I should worry.  What are the odds that everything is just fine?

    I wouldn't be too freaked out yet.  I got my positive pregnancy test at 3 weeks pregnant.  Which, I probably wouldn't believe had the u/s today not confirmed this.  Best of luck to you!

    Last week, I used a pregnancy test and scheduled an appointment with the doctor; blood/urine test, and all were positive.  Today was my first ultrasound and I'm scheduled to go back in two weeks, because I am about 6 weeks 1 day-ish.  I saw the gestational sac today, too, and the tech said here's the baby; which I really didn't see anything.  Then she recorded the heartbeat, I became at ease.  Nothing to worry about.  The doctor said it's still early for ultrasounds, in which they say come back in two more weeks.  I wouldn't worry, don't stress, and take it easy on your and baby.  Good luck! =)

    It's quite possible to be a week off and I think at 5 weeks all they can see is a sac. They wouldn't schedule me for a u/s until I was at least 6 weeks because they said that was the earliest they could see anything.I was about 5 days ahead of what I originally thought I was.

    I'm confused....are you worried that pretty much the only thing visible on the ultrasound is the sac? If so, that's pretty normal to not see anything more than the sac until 7 weeks.

    I had for ultrasound at 5 w 4 days and only saw a sac too.  My doctor said it is completely Norma, and in point!!

    Lurking...and ditto to what everyone else said. With DS, I had an untrasound at what I thought was 6 weeks but there was only a sac...went back the next week when I was supposed to be 7w 4d and there was the heartbeat, but I was measuring 6w 5d. Totally normal for it to be off by a few days. Easier said than done, but try not to let it worry you! Gotta stay calm for that little one in there. GL!

    The HPTs on the market are so sensitive that it's entirely possible that you got your BFP when you were just a little over 3 weeks pregnant. If that was the case, then you would only be about 5-5.5 weeks now. I hope your next u/s is more reassuring. Smile
