Beco from 2008....

Hi AP mamas - I found a Beco on my local CL for a great price. The owner doesn't know the style and says she has had it for about 4 years. Is it a good option? Just wondering if there have been lots of improvements/changes in them over these 4 years. I have baby #2 on the way, and wanting to try an alternative to the Ergo. I was trying to go with the Beco Gemini - I'm 5'2" and have read multiple times that it may be a better fit given my height.  Thanks for any input!

    I have a Beco from 2008 (the older Butterfly model), and it's great. My only problem with it is that the hood sucks, but I didn't really use the hood very much. If it's a good deal, I'd get it. hth

    Mine's at least that old. I think the infant inserts are more user friendly in the II and other models, but that part is used for such a short time. As for the hood...haven't seen it since I got it!

    Thanks, ladies - I think I will just call Beco customer service when I get it and try to figure out what it is. It's missing the chest straps, and I think it doesn't have an infant insert or hood. But I'm getting it for only $5, so can't really go wrong with giving it a try.  Just wanted to be sure there weren't any concerns I didn't think about.  Thanks again!
