Yes, that's very difficult to bottle-feed breastmilk you didn't pump. You DO deserve some accolades in her BFing, you're right.
This is like when my husband said "WE" were pregnant. Because he, you know, got big, got stretch marks, got hemmorhoids, had hands up his hoo-ha, had contractions, and had a vag blow-out on the delivery table.
"We"'re pregnant indeed.
WE were expecting. Just like this dude should say "WE feed the baby in a variety of ways."
LOL I love how people get angry and bother fixing something like 'we' into 'she' or taking a stand for "WE". Who cares? People generally know what's going on! I'll be the one breastfeeding but my husband will be bottle feeding every now and then and really I couldn't care less if he ALWAYS says "we", I think people realize that the milk isn't coming from HIS boobs. This isn't a who does what competition.

What you don't understand, Wesley, is that you are highly overvaluing yourself as the dad. Your support in the mom and pretend say in discussions involving the baby are laughable. She would be no worse for the wear if you weren't even there.

WE formula fed in my house. WE both mixed the formula and fed it to her in a bottle. You see, the liquid nutrition was prepared by both parties, thus the "we" is appropriate.
YOU bottle feed breastmilk.
YOUR WIFE 100% breastfeeds/pumps.
You're quite defensive and tightly wound, aren't you?

Lol. I was too busy being Bessie (mooooooo) hooked up to a pump to have been able to do anything without H. Seriously. H was able to take 6 weeks pat leave too and I dont know what I would have done without him. I will never give a guy shiit for saying we, unless he does so with the smug self importance like his wife owes him or sumshit.

One can only hope he will learn my wise ways.
And well done, you have one cliche under your belt now--mentioning post counts! Bravo. I'm so proud.
I may be knew here but I've been picking up some tricks lurking around. We'll just have to see what veteran move I pick up next.

Well to be honest one's parter does need to be supportive of breastfeeding in order for it to be more successful so I think 'we' is appropriate. Even if the mom is pumping it helps to have an extra pair of hands to take care of the child while that's going on. I have 2 kids and I would never have time to pump if DH didn't pitch in. Of course it helps that he's 100% behind breastfeeding, too.

^^WSS. In my house WE breastfeed. I produce the milk and sometimes pump. And H gives an occassional bottle. But he supports me. He brings the baby to me when I don't feel like getting up. He listens to me vent about the pain of breastfeeding and reminds me of the ease of travel while breastfeeding. He is my rock and strength when I don't think I can do it anymore. In my house WE breastfeed because without him I don't know if I could do it alone.

We 100% breastfeed/pump and bottle feed the milk in our house as well. The first time she ever pumped I was intrigued. It was definitely interesting and funny to see since I have never see anything like that before. Every now and again I look at her pumping and think to myself how weird it is. Not weird that she is doing it, because believe me I am fully on board with breast milk over formula, but weird in an amazing way how the human body prepares for and cares for a child.
