pooping is the most terrifying experience I have ever been through. It is still scary 3 weeks later.
Oh my this! And all the above!! The 1st time I pooped it was absolutely terrifying...I was almost in tears with DH cause I didn't want to poop but I held onto it as long as possible...and laughing hurts...when I was in the hospital like 1 day after giving birth my DH & sis were making jokes & messing around with each other... & everytime I laughed it hurt so bad... you don't realize how much you use those muscles down there til you have stiches down there!
I haven't had my LO yet and coughing and sneezing are ridiculously painful. DH laughs b/c I'll do anything to hold them in. Geesh, I can hardly wait until after delivery. lol.
Yeah, I used to be gross and just hold my crotch if I had to do either of those things, it seemed to help (over the pants...not under).
Although, for pooping, I highly recommend eating dried fruit (raisins, apricots). It helped my poop so much so it was much easier to pass, and not as scary

Coughing and sneezing is ridiculous after delivery... but the whole pooping thing, let me tell you!! I know this is TMI, but I had to have stitches down there b/c the artery to the hemroids tore... I was so afraid to go!!

Feb 2010 - IUI #1 200mg Clomid = BFN. June 2010 - IUI #2 200mg Clomid = BFN. March 2011 - IUI #3 w/ injectables = BFN (1st & last with RE, moving on to IVF). July 2011 - consult for IVF. Sept 2011, 1st IVF. Got our BFP on 10/2/11. Became a mom on 5/5/12 to a beautiful baby boy!
I didn't think pooping was as bad as in thought or read it would be. I continued taking the stool softeners for a while and I think it helped a lot. Gotta love that peri bottle though!
