What's right for a 2yo and 4yo?

I have two girls. One just turned 2 and the other will be 4 in a month. I've suggested that they have time with their dad Wed.-Thur. from 5:30-7:30 and all day Sunday.

That's what we've done for a month, and it's worked out well.

Their beds will be set up this week at his house. So overnights will begin soon. :(:(

Conceivably, they'll start spending the night soon Wed. and Thur., and then Sunday night. 

What do you fine people think? Is that a healthy schedule for that age group? Or am I actually giving him too much overnight time with them at this age?

Any opinions are much appreciated! I want to do what's right for them and not get sucked into HIS rules for how he thinks it should be.

    Right now, without a custody agreement in place, do what feels comfortable. If you aren't comfortable doing this, then it's not right ATM. If you feel comfortable with it, but sad, then it's probably the right thing to do. You can probably find laws in your state regarding ovn visits and base your schedules off that for the meantime.

    I personally think that routine and stability are of utmost importance.  I think it would be easier for them to stay in the same place during the week and spend EOW with their dad (Friday and Sat. night).  Then they could maybe spend an evening maybe Weds. with their dad every week but come back to your house after.  I think more than two overnights a week is a lot for that age.  Even my son at 2.5 seems confused as to where his home is.  He knows mamas house and daddy's house and it makes me sad that he doesn't call either place his own house.
