So we had a picket fence put up this summer, and I put garland on it with big old fashioned white lights. It looked so cute for like 10 minutes. Then boom, no lights are on, (these are the type where one light burns out but the rest are supposed to stay on)
So I up plug em, then replug, nothing... Then I check the?extension?cord... works fine, the first strand of lights is totally dead, but the rest are working. So I skip that strand, and leave the rest lit up, now its pitch black out there no twinkly lights. I spent 150 on frigen lights, and hours stringing them through the garland and I'm going to have to go back and return them all! Stupid cheap lights. ?
Re: Argh! so frustrating
It's not your breaker is it??? DId you blow a breaker and just don't know it? They are new lights?? That is STUPID! I would be taking them back! Sorry your hard work was wasted!
I checked the fusses in the basement (is that the breaker?)
They were brand new lights, fresh out of the package. Only the first strand in the link broke, but then we subbed it out for an extra one we bought and that one went dead, so we plugged it in skipping that first strand so at least part of our fence was light and then it was on for a little while but then it too went dead. Gd target lights!
