This is a family name on both sides, and so we're strongly considering it.  Is it too common or dated?  Also, any middle name suggestions?  We have a long last name, so something short and sweet would probably be best.  Thanks!

    I like Julia; safe, but pretty.  I think it's a good choice, especially with it being a family name.

    I like Julia. It's pretty and I love the significance it has for you. MN suggestions: Julia Charlotte, Julia Caroline, Julia Rosalie, Julia Margaret.

    ETA: I just saw that you wanted something shorter... Maybe something like Julia Jane?

    I love Julia. For short MNs try Julia Rose, Julia Mae, Julia Marie, Julia Anne.

    Julia Claire/Clare (we never settled on a spelling and both are family names) was one of our top options if we were having a girl so I obviously love it! Do you have any other family names you could use for the MN spot?

    I think it's pretty. I am Julie, so I prefer that, but Julia is certainly nice.

    I have my grandmother's maiden name as my mn, but I think anything that starts with a constenant will work well for Julia. Julia Kate sounds pretty!

    I like it! I know a little Julia Marie. My faves of the short MN's listed are Julia Claire or Julia Kate.

    I love the name Julia! It's my pick too if I have a girl. I think it's a beautiful, classic name that never goes out of style! :-)
