Had my junebug baby, PIP

Ended up being a week late, born June 6, so technically not a may mom, but I think I'll stay here anyway He was born 10:50am 7lbs8oz

Labour was easy peasy - contractions didn't really get much worse than what I used to get for crippling menstrual cramps in my teens. I pretty much slept through transition with the help of the occasional nitrous oxide shot. I was 2cm when I got to the hospital at 8pm and by 6am was 9cm dialated.

Unfortunately we hit a snag around 8am when it came to pushing. The little guy was wedged in my pelvis sideways and would not twist, and his heart rate was dropping down to the 60s during my contractions. So I had to have an episiotomy and vacuum extraction. But mom and baby are both happy and healthy and I'm overall quite content with how things went.

I also have to add that dh was AMAZING throughout my labour. He helped keep me calm and distracted when things got hard near the end. I probably would have had a much more difficult birth without him.

He looks so teeny tiny compared to my husbands hand!
