Hi. I live in Botswana so I can't attend Bradley classes. Any good
websites that have the information??? They don't have the book for my
ereader either I checked. And books well are on short supply (especially
US authors) here in Botswana.
I took did Bradley classes with my first, but these three books you can get from Kindle/e-book and are just as good IMO. I also found these resources pretty helpful also from the web:
Good luck. Again, Ina May's guides and Birthing from Within are great also and with those and snippets from websites about The Bradley Method, I hope you find what you need.
I've never heard of hypnobabies. What is the premise behind it? Or how is it different than BM?
I did Hypnobirthing which from what I understand is similar to Hypnobabies. It's basically learning to put yourself into a state of deep relaxation, making childbirth more comfortable. You are fully aware of what is going on, but in a totally relaxed, peaceful place.
While some of the approaches/techniques would be similar (breathing, visualization, etc). It differs from Bradley in that it helps you to release fear and sort of redefine how we in this country have been taught to view childbirth. Hypnobirthing and I'm assuming Hypnobabies teaches you that while childbirth is intense, and you will certainly be feeling something, it doesn't necessarily have to be pain. Bradley more operates under the principle that you will feel pain, but it is pain with a purpose. They are both good approaches and I know women who have had wonderful births using them. It just kind of depends on which seems to speak more to you.
Also you might just start a new post asking girls for their experiences. I know some girls on here who have had great experiences with Hypnobabies. I'm sure you will also get some weigh ins from the Hypnobirthing girls as well since they have similar principals. There's even a girl on here who is a Hypnobirthing instructor.
Re: Bradley Class Help!! (reposted from AP)
I too don't think they have either Husband Coached Childbirth or Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way in e-books (kindle or google or pdf).
If you can't find those, I know you can get these:
Ina May's Guide to Childbirth
Spiritual Midwifery
Birthing from Within

A website that details the excercises and info from a Bradley class: https://patelife.blogspot.com/2011/03/bradley-birth-exercises.html
Bradley's sponsored site has good nutrition info: https://www.bradleybirth.com/Diet.aspx
Discussions of emotional and physical stages of labor:
https://saudilife.net/motherhood/9936-emotional-stages-of-labor
https://www.mayoclinic.com/health/stages-of-labor/PR00106
And I also think you-tube has some great birth videos and even information from those who discuss the Bradley Method:
