Does anyone know of any Muslin swaddle blankets that are not Aden & Anais? Their blankets are SO expensive ($49 for 4 or $22 for 1???) but I want something soft and breathable. Ideas?
They have less expensive Aden and Anais blankets at bru and target. They aren't as soft or as big, but they are much less $$$$. Plus, bru always have 20% off one item and you can use it on Aden and Anais products.
Aden & Anais have their own line at Target that's cheaper. They are still muslin but a teeny bit smaller than the traditional ones. I think $35 for 4 instead of $50.

This. And they are worth the price! We use ours ALL the time.

this. Amazon has certain prints for cheaper. I haven't used them to swaddle but they are great to cover the carseat from wind and sun. Soft and lightweight.

I love my target and bru ones. They are plenty soft and a good size. My mom got the target ones on sale for like $25. I got my bru ones with a 20% off coupon and my registry completion discount.
I got the big boutique ones on Amazon for $39 (the ones with the yellow, orange, red & green stars). I wouldn't want them any smaller for swaddling. We use them constantly & for everything. They are well worth the price.

I went to the fabric store and bought a few metres of fabric. I made them 1 metre by 1 metre - two of them are made of gauze and 1 made of a silk cotton blend. Because I went during a sale I was able to get all three for under $15. Plus they are extra big which I find much easier for swaddling. If you aren't one for sewing you can always hem the cut edges with the iron on stuff you can get at Walmart in the craft section.
