I thought I would post this for those of you who may be nervous about induction as I have had two successful ones? one was favorable and one was not. My first was not and at 41 weeks I was at 0 all around. I had a folly bulb inserted at 3 p.m. one day and she was born 7:59 p.m. the next after an hour of pushing so when I was told induction again I was depressed. This time I was favorable. I was 50 percent effaced, and at 2. I really wanted to wait because I was not at 41 weeks but my doc. was nervous he was big based on a sonogram and since I was favorable she talked me into it and I am glad she did. He was 9 pounds 4 ounces and barely made it out. I got his head out but his shoulder was stuck. My doc was able to maneuver him out with her hands. I was able to have another vaginal birth with no cutting or tearing. Last time I was cut and I will not lie this time has been easier as far as recovery. While pit. does suck because you can?t move around, I was able to avoid c-section both times even with a 9 plus pound baby. I know I see lots of failed induction stories so I hope this cheers those up who are nervous. Hope all is well

Re: Successful Induction
You are welcome. Here is to hoping you go into labor on your own. DH always jokes he feels like he is missing out on rushing to the hospital. I really wanted to go into labor on my own but it was just not in the cards. Not sure if these things run in families but my brother was 10 days late and I was 20. Back then they just let you wait it out
