Is the Freestyle worth the extra $100 over PIS?

So I currently have the Freestyle on my registry, but lets face it...This is one purchase I'll probably make myself. Just curious if y'all think the Freestyle is worth the $100 more than the PIS? I'll be pumping at work...but I doubt I'll be multitasking much. What do you ladies think?

  • I am a FTM so I don't know from experience but from what I have read the answer is yes.

Correct me I'm wrong, but I think with the freestyle if will hold itself up so you dont need a bra type apparatas and it's smaller, more portable for the working pumper. :)

  • I think that a $20 pump holding bra would be cheaper than the extra $100 dollars.

  • I EP'd last time.  And had the opportunity to use both.  I actually preferred the PIS to the Freestyle.  I felt like the freestyle was more gentle.  However, this led to not emptying correctly and getting engorged and clogged ducts.

This being said, I'm sure it just depends on personal preference.  However, thought I would give you my thoughts.

  • I have the Freestyle, but the hands-free didn't work for me because my boobs are too big.  However, the best thing about the Freestyle is that it's small and battery operated.  I could charge it every day to every other day and never have to have the plug with me, so you can pump anywhere, not just where there is an outlet.  If that's not an issue, just get the PISA.

  • I have the Freestyle. I never used it hands free but loved that it didn't need the bag or to plugged in. I found on of my favorite places to pump was the car where there are no outlets. The car adapter for the PIS was expensive.

Just curious, how big? I'm wondering if the Freestyle will work for me.

I was a G/H cup when my milk came in. The straps wouldn't ever hold...they kept popping up from the bottom.  A regular hands free bra worked fine, though.
