Any thoughts?

We think we have settled on the name for our son. But some people have said that they don't ,like it. We both agree that we are the parents and ultimately it is up to us but this is something he will be labeled with for ever!

The name is Lorenzo McRoy.  Enzo is what we think as a nickname. Even though there are no Italians in either of our familys, Lorenzo was my Grandfather's middle name and my 3x Great Grandfather's first name.  McRoy is the Mc From my Family's Scottish heritage and Roy is short for LeRoy which was the Hubby's father's name.

We really wanted to go with family names.  Any thoughts?

    I hate McRoy.  How about leaving off the M and going with Croy as a mn?

    I really like Lorenzo nn Enzo. Really dislike McRoy. If you want a family name for a middle name, use LeRoy, which is an actual family name, and don't add a random Mc in front of it. LeRoy=family name, McRoy=made-up smush name.

    FWIW Mc- is the Irish prefix and Mac- is the Scottish, so you wouldn't even be honouring Scottish heritage.

    Strawberry... the Mc and Mac as you said is not true. there are name different septs of both Scot and Irish names. My family which are scottish spell it with Mc.

    If you have an actual Scottish Mc-name, then use that then. Don't make one up because generally speaking, the Mc-names originated in Ireland and the Mac-names originated in Scotland. Don't just make something up.
