Baby Toes In Danger

Just saw this article about hair getting tangled in babies toes and cutting off circulation. Looks like there is another thing to keep Moms up at night.

    3 cases in 30 yrs i don't even think this is news worthy. and If you put lotion on your baby and its feet like your supposed to then you should feel the hair on them.

    I can't believe there is actually an article on this! My MIL warned me about this because it happened to one of her sons and they ended up in the ER. I thought she was crazy lol...

    It happens, but most of the time it's caught and rectified pretty much right away. Vanessa had one of my hairs wrapped around one of her fingers, but you spend so much time with them it's kind of hard to not notice something is a little off (her finger was a little red, I noticed it right away). But I guess stuff happens too, especially with little socks on. I wouldn't let that keep you up at night.

    Since when are you supposed to put lotion on your baby? I didn't realize this was a requirement and have never done so with either of my DDs.

    hair was wrapped around DS2 a few times but i always caught it before it became a problem. yes its something to be aware of but its not really a majorly concerning thing. i have long hair so it was easy to get wrapped around his lil fingers!

    I have seen this at work (work in plastic surg office) a couple of times in the past 10 years. It happens and most parents are very happy when we figure out it's just a hair and not an infected swollen fingers like they were originally told!

    Not going to lie, this is something I never thought of. I have such long hair so now I'll have to remember this for when baby comes.
