XP: We have a theme :)

I am beyond excited. DH and I went into Pottery Barn Kids today to look at more bedding since ours was on back order for several months. They had the cutest Dr. Seuss stuff for baby boy and we decided to go with that. It was also all on sale so I got the bumper, 2 crib sheets, and the toddler duvet for $100. I will do red curtains and a navy glider. We already have an expresso crib and then we will use an old dresser that I have that is black for a changing table. I just love the theme and think it will be so much fun to decorate :)

    We are doing Dr. Seuss as well! The nursery walls are bright green and we're doing an open-closet concept so the inside of the closet is bright orange. We're pretty crafty so I made a Dr. Seuss hat and painted it and DH made a Dr. Seussy looking frame and being a graphic designer, he re-created the Green Eggs and Ham bookcover to put behind it. I can post pictures if you'd like to see! We're so stoked about doing it, it's so funky and awesome!

    I would love to see!!! I never thought I would do a theme. Just something simple with color schemes but when I saw it I just had to have it. I love the colors and the crib sheet with all the letters and characters. I can't wait to decorate but unfortunately I can't until we move at the end of September. Right now we are stuck in a one bedroom apartment until the lease ends October 14. Bah!

    DH made the frame and painted an old twisty lamp we had. I made the hat. All was made out of scrap wood and non-toxic acrylic paint. We also ordered a vinyl decal off Amazon, it's above where the crib is going and it says "A person is a person no matter how small" We love it! It's amazing the things you can do with stuff laying around the house that you will be able to use. I've never been happier with a theme!

    We are having a girl and doing dr. seuss is well. It is a super fun theme! If you google dr. seuss nursery pictures or try pintrest they have some COOL stuff people have done! I also found some really neat ideas on ebay too.
