2nd Trimester

Insomnia...anyone else?

I am normally a very heavy sleeper, it is nothing for me to be able to sleep for 12+ hours a night.  Lately, though, I am wide awake at about 6:00 and can't get back to sleep.  My mom said she experienced insomnia during her pregnancies as well.  Anyone else?  So frustrating!!

Re: Insomnia...anyone else?

  • Oh yes!! Normally I am up early anyway - the wonders of having a 2 year old that acts like an alarm clock - but since week 17 maybe I have been up super early. I'm talking like 4am!! I just want to get some rest! Plus, I'm all stiff!

  • I wake up nightly around 3 am.  It is terrible.  The wost part is that I am so tired that I want to go to bed around 8.  However, my mom and I made it shopping for Black Friday super early.
  • Yes, since I became pregnant I've not slept through the night once.  It sucks.  Most of my issue is peeing all the time, I wake up about 3 times a night to pee and you just can't get a good night sleep when that is going on.

  • I had a lot of insomnia in 1st tri. Which didnt help much with the day to day fatigue. 2nd tri seems to be better, however..I still get up SUPER early. I hate it. I'm wide awake way before DD, thats just not right! lol. Nothing else to do but nest. =)
  • mINE IS horrible this time around. I fall asleep super easy, but if anything wakes me up I can't fall back to sleep. My worst hour is 3am. If I wake up then, I toss and turn until my DD wakes up around 7. UGH!!  I'm sooo tired!
