With my first c-section I had to sleep on my back for quiet sometime as any other way I tried would hurt/pull. This time around I was able to start sleeping on my side with pillows like I did while pregnant at just over a week pp.
The main thing for me was the pulling and sore feeling in my incision if I slept in a weird position. The pillow under the belly and between the legs (which is how I normally sleep now that I got used to this being pregnant) helped.
I was on my back for the first week or so... Finally was able to transition comfortably to my side and around 4-6 weeks could sleep however. Hopefully you can transition to a more confortable sleeping position soon.

At first I felt the most comfortable sleeping on my back, but elevated with pillows so I was in more of a reclined position rather than flat on my back.
I tried on my back the first few days at home but my bed is super high and between that and then straining to get up and down it was painful. Then I slept on the couch on my back/side with pillows and it helped. It was so much easier to get up and down. I was back in my bed on my side full time by 4 weeks out.
I could only sleep on my back, with lots of pillows to keep me elevated, on an incline. It hurt way to much to sleep on my sides and I am 3 months PP and still CAN NOT sleep on my stomach
Sleep sucks for awhile (not only because you have a baby tot ake care of) But also because of the soreness of getting in an out of bed, or even getting up from a chair, and the pulling feeling near incision. I would try and sleep in a recliner chair some nights. That helped.
