Lower back hurts to be up very long or go on walks

I've been told that walking is a good thing at this time - I'm due in 5 days.  However, I can only stand to be upright for a very minimal time before my lower back begins screaming at me. Emptying the dishwasher even does me in. As far as taking a walk - I wouldn't even make it halfway down the block before I would have to turn back - and then I'd pay the price for the next several hours.

Any advice?  Did you have bad lower back pain near the end?  What did you do to keep from being a slug?

Re: Lower back hurts to be up very long or go on walks

  • I hear ya!  I am 39+3, and I have the same troubles.  However, I have found that I can bounce on my yoga ball for hours and not have any pain, so instead of sitting on the couch at night watching a tv/movie, I try to bounce the whole time!  Not sure if it is quite as effective as going on a two hour walk, but it makes me feel like I am at least doing something.  I have been doing this for the last few days and lost a lot of my mucous plug this morning ? so I will take that as a good sign!  Good luck!!
