I can't believe I'm writing this but, after 6.5 years of trying we were VERY surprised to learn we are pregnant. I'm still in shock but I'm very happy to say the least. I just have a few questions and I'm hoping you all can help. I'm a little over 6 weeks and out of no where all symptoms that I have are completely gone. I had a mini melt down this morning about this because I desperately want to feel pregnant. Has this happened to anyone else? Also, I can't see my OB until July 9th for my first ultrasound and I don't want to wait that long, I just need some reassurance, especially with the disappearing symptoms. I'm thinking about calling my RE just because I know he would see me ASAP. Should I have done this anyway? I'm very confused on what to do because I honestly thought I would never get here. Thank you for any info you can give me! Sorry about the format, I'm on my phone.
*Formerly peainthepod?* TTC since 1/1/2006. All cycles BFN! IUI's & IVF with no luck. Emergency surgery 11/07 due to hemmoraging cyst on left ovary. 3rd HSG showed complete blockage of right tube (the good side), endo/cysts/adhesion removal 11/11. New start for 2012! Surprise BFP 6/17/12, due 2/12/13. It's a boy!!! Baby Boy born on January 26, 2013.

Just curious if this was a surprise pregnancy while you were on a break? Did you find out via HPT? If so - call your RE and maybe ask if he can do a Beta for confirmation? They could also probably do an Ultrasound. I would say if you were ever on treatment with an RE you should be able to call for confirmation... and if not- atleast you will have tried. I would 100% call today and ask to be seen this week.

I had a surprise bfp too. I ended up calling my favorite RE who had me come in right away for beta #1. Our 1st +hpt was very late on a Sat night. I took another one on Sunday afternoon. I called RE first thing Monday morning and they could've gotten me in that morning but I was already on my way to work. I was in first thing at 7am on Tuesday morning. I didn't want to have to wait to see an ob who will often not see you until after 8 weeks.
I would definitely give your RE a call. Plus they can check your progesterone and get you started on it right way if needed.

I too had a surprise BFP, right before IVF #2. I called my RE who got me in for betas and I actually had 4 ultrasounds with her before I was released to my OB. Definitely helped my IF brain to have some reasurance during those early weeks...no way I could have waited until my first OB appt. GL to you!

So glad they are getting you in. In my first trimester, my pregnancy symptoms came and went all the time. There are still times that I have to reassure myself that I am pregnant.
