I'm trying to set a date!

So my sister is planning a shower for me, but we decided that I should know the date. It seems like every weekend that I want, something seems to be going on. I would like to have it in September but there's no free weekend. That means I will either have to  have it in mid October or late August!

 I'm so confused  and I don't know what to tell her. I will be around 26 weeks in August, so is that too early for a shower? This will give me enough time to buy everything else we will need and set up the nursery with enough time.

    I would go mid October - still gives you lots of time after to pick up any missed odds and ends, and you'll be nice and round :) cute for shower pics!

    I would also go with October.  You're not due until the end of November so you'll have plenty of time to pick up odds and ends that you still need.  It doesn't take that long...a couple of week-ends.  You'll get a better turn out in October than you would in August since people will be on vacation, getting kids ready to start school, etc. in August.

    One hour-long trip to BRU or Wal-Mart will give you the opportunity to get everything else you need.  And there's so little you need at first.  Diapers, carseat, place to sleep, a couple of t-shirts.  BOOM.  Baby is outfitted.

    I'd go October if you're not due til the end of November.
