weekly ultrasounds starting a 34 weeks? anyone else?

Anyone else's OB routinely do US weekly during the last couple months of pregnancy for moms over 35?  My pregnancy has had no complications (except now they know baby is breech) and I'm still having one very week.

Is this routine??

    I have not heard of that.  I go to a high risk OBGYN, but maybe they are doing it since baby is breech.  Altho I thought they could tell by feeling....

    I think it's relatively common to have weekly visits in the last 4-6 weeks.

    Weekly visits is common, but I've never heard of weekly u/s. I wouldn't complain if my doc wanted to do them though.

    I'll have to have them starting at about 32 weeks, but that's due to GD & medication, not due to age. You can refuse them, you know.

    My midwife does one at 37 weeks, but no others unless there is a reason.

    Not for me. I hd one last week and the tech said she didn't expect to see me again.

    Ive had weekly ultrasounds since 32 weeks but only because of my history im considered high risk. If the dr thinks its necessary its better to be safe and keep a close eye on the lo.

    I am over 35 and my dr will be doing an u/s at 30 weeks and then every week starting at 34 weeks.  

     So for my dr, yes this is routine.

    I have GD and my MFM started doing bi-weekly u/s starting at. 32 weeks. If I did not have GD my regular OB would have done a single u/s at 35/36 weeks to check growth.

    I had them with my daughter starting at 32 weeks but that was coupled with twice weekly NSTs due to Lovenox and high risk for premature labor.  I can't imagine why if everything is going well.
