My son still wants to eat every three hours but my daughter has started eating every 4/5 hours. Yesterday I couldn't get her to eat but 3 times (8a.m., 1:p.m. and 8p.m. and basically forced the last bottle down her) and she was very fussy all evening which isn't like her. She will only take a bottle if it is a certain temp and texture. I mean if it has three less grains of cereal in it she isn't touching it. This morning when she woke up her diaper was dry. Now she has eaten her 8a.m. bottle and she did pee a little (the yellow line on the diaper was a little blue) but I'm worried about this still. I have called the pediatrician and am waiting on a return call.
Has anybody else had a picky eater like this? Am I being a worry wart? '
And when did your multiples start teething? Baby boy is druling like crazy and chewing on everything he can get his hands on. Is it possible for them to be teething at only three months? I can't remember when my older two cut their fist teeth.
Re: baby girl not eating
My boys are drooly messes and one (more than the other) sucks on his hand/arm or your arm constantly. I don't think they are teething, just orally fixated.
Food wise- I have heard of babies that like a certain temp bottle but I haven't given cereal so I don't really know. My boys eat 3.5-5 hrs during the day. I make them be on the same sched, not sure if you can do that with them being so different.
I had the same issue with one of my girls. I used to have to force feed her or feed a little wait 10 minutes, feed some more, wait. But she has Torticollis and it turned out she was in pain and she had to be in just the right position to be comfortable enough to eat. Once we got that resolved and she was no longer in pain, she started eating like a champ.
Pedi says possible illness that she is fighting but not to worry because she ate this morning and isn't running fever or throwing up. She also says its possible that she is teething already (so we will see about that). I was actually thinking of spoon feeding them this week anyways because my pedi wants me to start before their next appointment at 4 months...I just don't know if they are ready for that. We put them in their high chairs for the first time yesterday and they seemed to like watchig mommy cook.
She had every drop of each of her bottles yesterday and this morning. She still woke up with a dry diaper but that only lasted for about 5 minutes after she woke up. Thank God! I was really scared yesterday morning.
