Finally- Vivian is here!

Hi y'all,

Just wanted to let you know that baby Vivian Mae was born on Wednesday, June 13. I was induced with Pitocin around 10AM (wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy), got the epidural around 1:00PM (awesome sauce) and was at 8cm by 1:30PM. We had a pretty bad scare when her fetal heart rate dropped but just changing labor positions fixed the problem.

I started pushing around 7:30PM. My two besties and DH were there, and it was a wonderful, beautiful experience. They were so supportive and we had a great time. I was actually laughing when she was born. The doctor said she had never seen anyone laugh a baby out of them before!

I am overwhelmed and sore as all get out but I have never known this kind of love. I wish you lots of luck with your delivery-- if you are overdue or waiting to be induced or just plain scared, it is SO worth it!
