SO: Toy organization- figurines?

Does anyone have a creative/practical way to store figurines? My house is a figurine explosion. My girls love their Disney figures (and have way too many)...we have Little People....they just got Little Ponies. Some are in doll houses. Many are all over the floor. I'd love some ideas...thanks!

  • Target containers with lids.  Seriously.  They need lids and need to be the same size so you can stack them.

I have just the plain clear ones, i think they are sterilite.  But I know there are some cuter ones with colorful designs

I have enough for all the different types of toys- fisher price little people, schlich animal figurs, toy cars, wood trains, wood blocks.

I have have them all organzied and have taught LO how to put his toys away so know he sorts his figures when we put them away

Yes, the containers with lids... one for each type of toy.

DD's Little People are in a bin, then the cars, airplane, bus, etc are in a larger one...  Finally the big parts (the zoo, the playground, etc) are in another huge bin.

We use containers for everything; her coloring books, craft stuff, her workbox.

  • I got a ton of the sterilite ones, the shoe box size. I went a little crazy with my label maker too. I sorted all the figurines into different containers (farm animals, ocean animals, my little pony, people, etc.) and then I put them all in the closet and only bring out 1 or 2 at a time.  If DD wants to play with something else, those have to be cleaned up first.  Makes it so much easier and the toys get rotated better/more easily.

  • Clear storage containers. I found ours at dollar tree. Not the best quality but get the job done.
