Now that my DD is starting to try and roll both ways and is scooting on her back off mats and around the crib I'm wondering....when do we start baby proofing? When are you all going to start?
I'm thinking of starting sooner, rather than later. I have a feeling once they are crawling, it's going to be too late! Starting now gives us more time to think of all of the things that we think they might get into. Then we they start crawling and walking, we can get all the rest that they manage to find/do.

I was planning on waiting till he was crawling but this makes sense. I might start in the next few weeks

While there's nothing wrong with getting ahead of the game I'll wait awhile. You generally have a good idea they're going to crawl a good while before it happens. My boys didn't crawl till they were 9&. 10 months old. I still have cabinet locks and outlet protectors in use though from ds2 (he's 5).

DD1 crawled at 5.5 months, walked at 9. So we will be starting soon. Bought a new house, so nothing is done. Make sure you get done on the floor so you can see everything from their perspective. Otherwise, you will miss some stuff!

This is not spam- just wanted to say kidco magnetic locks from amazon saved our cabinets and our sanity. My oldest didn't start REALLY getting into the cabinets until about 11 months
