Hello! I'm a BM with a 16 year old DD from a previous marriage.  I'm remarried now and have a 2 year old son with my H.  I'm curious as to if there's anyone on this board with a similiar type family situation?  Most of my struggles are actually related to my current husband and my DD's relationship (or lack thereof).  I'm wondering if this board might be a good fit for those kind of discussions or if it's mostly SM's who post about issues with SK's and BM's?

    Ds1 just turned 17 (from a high school relationship) and dh and I have a 5yr old and 4 mnth old. I think there are more sm's here than bm's but i've never felt the odd man out . There are some that are bm and sm. It's a pretty fair board.

    This sums it up pretty well. We make attempts to tell the fcrazy ones to get therapy, but you should fit in fine.

    I was a single parent for about 12 years.  Why would that make you the odd man out?

    I am a BM. I have a 16 year old and a 13 year old from my first marriage. I am TTC with my husband. If does seem to be mostly SM here but it's a good atmosphere.

    EDIT I raised my kids alone for the most part. I remarried only recently.

    I'm a BM with a DS13 and DD9, a SM to K who's 6, and another kiddo on the way. I've experienced a pretty even blend here, which has been a great help with gaining perspective on issues I have with my XH and BM.

    Because this board is for blended families, which is not my situation, heck I'm not even dating. There is also  a Single parents board so I should be posting over there. I have been a single parent since day one so I don't really feel bad or odd about it.   

    If you left us, taking Vs pictures away, I would cry! From the loss of you two.

    I think they should put the Single parents and BF board together, really. 

    Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.
