I want to get one of those mesh sun shields for the rear windshield, because it's SO hot here in TX, and poor Kyle screamssss every time we get in the car, and is flushed red and sweaty when I take him out- I feel awful! I'm trying to talk FI into getting one of those carseat liners for him, but he wants to try a cheaper option first.
So, I looked into Amazon and every one gets a terrible review that it doesnt keep the sun out, or the suction is weak and it doesnt stay up.
Does anyone have one already that they like?
Re: rear windshield sun sheild
I'm looking for sunshades myself and after some research, apparently the suction cup ones are a safety concern because they can become a projectile in a car crash. So, I'm looking at static cling sunshades. That may be an option for you.
Here's an example:

(sorry I can't make it clicky)
BFP #3 - 05.20.11, EDD - 01.31.12, Logan is here! 02.05.12
BFP #2 - 03.16.11, M/C 03.24.11
BFP #1 - 10.17.10, Blighted Ovum dx, M/C 01.09.11
This is what I was going to suggest! My SUV and DH's truck have tinted windows and it really helps cut out the sunlight. And I live in Louisiana so I understand how you feel about the heat!
