DS suddenly loves blowing raspberries while he's eating. He's even learned to look down at his bib and the tray to watch the food particles fly out of his mouth.

I try not to react, so it doesn't seem to be a boundary-testing behavior or a game that he wants to play with anyone but himself, but it's messy and distracts him from finishing his meals. Will he likely get bored/distracted with this in a few days, or should I actually be trying to discourage it somehow?

Re: Blowing raspberries while eating
DS has been doing it alllll the time the past couple of days, and I usually do laugh when he's just playing, but I'm really trying not to react when he does it while eating. Man, it's hard.

THIS! DD thinks it is the funniest thing ever and I can't help but giggle. I guess when I have sweet potatoes in my hair and eyelasher it won't be so funny anymore lol.
This, for us, too! LOL
I usually end up stopping the session and switching sides... My mom says he does it when she's feeding him a bottle, too. I'm not sure what I'll do when he does it when we start solids.

This. Keep the spoon in LO's mouth when he starts to do it. Then nothing goes flying. They lose interest really fast that way.
My daughter does this. I have started getting a serious look on my face, pointing at her, and sternly saying no. It's starting to work but it's a process.
