extreme TMI but freaking out...

I just went to the bathroom... #2 and when I looked in the bowl there was a little bit of red blood... of course I googled the hell out of it and they said it can be caused by consipation?  I can't even say the last time I went but I'm really nervous and scared... did this happen to any one else?

    It could also be caused from having a BM.  If the BM was hard to pass, you could have torn, thus the blood.  Do you know for sure where it came from? (Weird question, but it might help you freak out less.)

    its not a weird question bc I checked a thousand times and thought the same thing.. it def came from the back end

    I would guess that you just strained too much or the stool was too hard (how's that for TMI?). It's happened to me before (pregnancy is the worst, constipation galore).  Make sure you're drinking enough water (not too much though, it can have the opposite effect) and if it gets really bad talk to your dr. about taking a stool softener.  I ended up taking one through the last trimester last time.

    lol yea it was kinda hard lol but it didn't really hurt so thats why I got nervous... i go to the dr. on Monday for my 2nd appt... i guess i'll just give her the heads up on my tmi lol.  thanks for the info and help.

    no there wasn't any pain.. i thought the same thing too.. i thinknig an hoping that it was just a little tear somewhere...

    If it came from your butt, I wouldn't worry about it at all. I'd only worry if it was a lot.

    my guess (of course, not a doctor) is hemorrhoids. I get them from time to time, and it's pretty uncomfortable. It happened to me this morning, but it didn't freak me out bc it's happened plenty of times when I'm not pregnant. It's lovely, really.

    Definitely sounds like it's related to constipation. I would guess it's either an internal hemorrhoid that ruptured or anal fissures. Both are super common, especially during pregnancy when GI motility slows down A LOT and hormones cause an increase in blood volume, and nothing to worry about.

    Happened to me this morning! It's "normal" for pregnant women. It is probably a small hemorrhoid. Just mention it to your doctor. Try to drink lots of water--it will help a lot. But yeah.....this morning I wiped and almost freaked at the blood! Thank goodness it was from my back end......tmi probably!!

    If it came from the back end, it's not related to the pg, just hard stools probably. Don't worry!
