Rib Pain

in 3rd Trimester

I know this can be normal but I'm so sore! Seems to only be my right side that's bothering me. This sucks because now the only way I can sleep is on my left side. I put an ice pack on it which helps but only for as long as its cold. 

Anyone else experiencing this or have something else to help?

    Yeah mine have just started hurting, but so far only when I'm sitting and LO is getting pushed up into my ribs.

    Before mine dropped I had HORRIBLE rib pain in my right side. I've had many bruised ribs before (former roller derby player, lol) and that's just what it felt like. I'm so glad she's made her way a little farther south! Hang in there!

    I would mention this to your doctor.  I was told that pain in my upper right side could be a symptom of pre-eclampsia (which I was just diagnosed with). But I have never had this symptom.

    It could be nothing, but I would mention it at your next appointment.

    This. Although I read (online) that right sided rib pain is a pain that SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED, i.e. get it checked NOW.

    I have the same thing :( It sucks, big time. Try doing some stretches with your arms over your head. And yeah, ice is the only thing that has helped at all for me. I've never heard that its a pre-e sign, but my blood pressure has been fine when the doc checked. Hope you get some relief soon.

    I have gotten this while laying on my left side for a while....I have a longer pillow between my legs, so I just move some of it up and put it under my rib which helps!

    This happens to me a lot. I tend to push her out and hold my hand there to get relief. Sometimes at work I have to sit and lean to my left. I had this with DS as well and never really found anything that worked well.
