Anybody wake up and find themselves on their back?

I try to sleep on my sides but sometimes I wake up and find myself on my back. I feel really bad about it. But it's fine right?

  • Your body will tell you when to move. This happens to me nightly. It did with my first daughter also.

  • I wish! it takes all my energy to roll any direction. I always wake up when I need to switch positions.
  • I wake up on my back and in pain all the time.  I figure the pain is my body's way of telling me it's time to roll back to my side.
  • Yup.  Happens to me all the time.

  • All the time.  I asked my doctor about it (I knoe I'm a nerd) and she said that it's way worse for me than it is for the baby, but that it would become uncomfortable for me before any harm could occur.
  • Lately I've been waking up and propping myself up laying on my back.  I know it's probably not the most ideal, but with the carpal tunnel, I can't lay on my sides very long anymore.  The pressure from laying on my shoulder or bending my elbow sends pins and needles through my hands.  I really haven't noticed my body sending me signals not too.  I do try to lean my hip to one side or the other so I'm not putting all the pressure on my lower back
  • Every night I wake up on my back and roll back on my side.
  • Almost every night.  I asked my doctor if I should worry, he smiled and said no, it is fine.  I figure whatever made you roll to your back, will probably make you roll back to your side when you need to.  =o)
  • Thanks ladies. I feel better about it now. I haven't really been uncomfortable so I guess it's not the end of the world.

  • Practically every night!
