I went yesterday (33w4d) and according to the scale I too had gained 32 lbs. That wouldn't freak me out too much except that means I've gained 10 lb since the last appointment 3 weeks ago. That, I know, is not good, neither the doctor or nurse said anything though.

I had gained 5lbs since my appointment 2 weeks prior, that freaked me out too! Nobody has said anything though, thank goodness.

Ummm... I blow you all out of the water. I started at 115 lb (I'm 5'2'') and my Dr. told me a max of 25 lbs... Well I have been swelling like crazy lately (so I blame it on that, which my Dr. agrees with and says a ton should come off after birth) but at my 36 week appt I almost burst into tears right then and there... I've gained 55 effing pounds!!!!!!!!!!!! My body is having a hard time carrying around this extra weight. I'm so sore and uncomfortable! I don't think I look like I've gained that much, but I guess I have. It's not like fat rolls I think it's just water weight. I'm short so my pregnant belly sticks out more too... Here is a recent photo:
Jealous of you ladies who say that your doctor hasn't said anything. I've only gained about 10 pounds back after my 25 pound loss in the first trimester and all the doctors ever say is how they like that and how I was soooo overweight to begin with- which I so resent, I was just fine ty- I shouldn't gain much more and so on and so on. Excuse me, but I've never felt unhealthy, though my BMI would argue with me. I was an active and happy in my body person before I got pregnant and I'm active now (though admittedly much less happy in my body now that I'm so front heavy lol).
I have gained about 40 lbs and I can't figure out where it's all going! My boobs and my belly, I guess. I think the last few weeks' weight has been water weight (I hope!)
At my last appointment (34/4) I gained 68. I barely eat as it is because I can't keep anything down and with seeing how much I gained my self-esteem is six feet under .
I'm already 80 lbs overweight and now I just feel like Shamoo and really hate to leave the house.
I'm chalking it up to GD. I think.
I hold on so hard and pray that I won't say something wrong.
I look at the stars and dream that the universe was ours.
I've gained 30 pounds in 37 weeks. Which probably isn't too bad, but I was only told to gain 11-20 pounds. I keep telling myself that 10 out of those 30 pounds is water weight since I am so frigging swollen.
Thank you!! I think my body needed to put on the extra weight for the baby too. It is doing what it needs to be doing, so I will trust it. I just was not expecting to gain that much! I go on walks and try to be as active as I can and eat well too. I stopped weighing myself at home too, so each Dr. appt is a fun surprise!!

What!?!?! If you've gained 55 pounds you must have been a tiny thing to begin with. You look amazing! I guess your body just needed the weight for baby b/c it certainly isn't going to other parts of your body.
Ditto!! You look awesome basil! I was overweight to begin with, so now I'm at 205, and being in the two-hundreds just hurts my heart! I weigh more than my husband!

Honestly, I quit keeping track. At my 32 week appointment, I think I had gained about 25-30 pounds. Everyone tells me that I'm carrying it all in my belly and my doctor thinks some of my weight gain is water weight/salt and encouraged me last week to start drinking more water and watching my salt intake. Up until this last appointment, she's not been concerned at all about my weight gain, so I guess that's good.
Had my OB appointment this morning. Weight gain is officially 30 lbs so far (36 w 4 days). I gained 32 lbs total with DD, so it looks like I'll be surpassing that milestone. Oh well.
36 weeks and 40 lbs...most of it was in the first 2 trimesters. I will admit I am strangely confident about it all though and feel more like a pregnant lady more than a fat cow so I'm not too worried....I say this after scarfing down a kitkat bar and ice cream as my afternoon snack so i take100% responsibility for every pound.

Ok, so I'm 33 wks and 3 days, and started out at 165lbs. Now I'm 178. I was definitely 10 lbs overweight to begin with, but went down to 155lbs in my first tri from not being able to eat much. I was 178 when I delivered LO#1(gained 28 lbs during that pg), so I hope I don't gain too much more weight, even though I have quite an appetite right now...
At 36 weeks I've gained 30 lbs - which wouldn't be so bad except that I was only 105 lbs to begin with and have very tiny bones. So it's all just "fat".
I'm 35 weeks. At my 34 week appointment I gained 35 pounds.
As long as I'm still lighter than my husband, I'm happy. lol.
Ugh. As of my last appointment am no longer lighter than my husband. :-( He is really skinny though and could easily gain some weight himself. I just keep reminding of that.

Oh sh%t, I'm screwed!!! I think I am currently heavier than my H but I'm okay with that, at least right now!
me too. My husband tried to carry me to bed last week.... The thought that he would be carrying 5lbs than his own weight motivated me to get my butt up. Damn my taste for medium sized guys...

I've gained somewhere between 37 and 40 lbs. My weight keeps fluctuating depending on how badly I'm swelling. I started at a normal weight and have been healthier and more active this pregnancy so it sucks to see a similar weight gain this time.
I was 25-30 lbs heavier with my last pregnancy and gained 45 lbs. I didn't do anything except BF and lost it all by 6-8 weeks PP. This time, I plan on getting back into the exercise routine I had pre-pregnancy and hope it comes off fairly easily.

I went today (35 weeks 5 days) and have gained 35 pounds, so I'm right on pace with you!
Not fun seeing the pounds continue to pack on, but at least we are almost done!
