Good Morning!
This is the first month that my DH and I are off birth control. I got AF a day later than normal, which I was thrilled about. I rarely get headaches (like never, luckily), and this month I have had headaches off and on, especially the last few days. I've also experience some dizziness with the headaches. Is this normal to have with AF? Is there anything to do to prevent them or just treat them?
Re: headaches
I get headaches from lots of things. One of them is my period. I also get them if I don't eat properly, or if I am working at the computer for too long without breaks. etc...
Might it be from something else? If not, I'd say get rest and try taking something before they start. (I know, it can be hard to predict that.

I just stopped taking mine on June 1st. AF started yesterday and the last two days I have had horrible headaches. I guess it is just an affect of coming off that BC.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.
I had been on birth control for almost 10 years (took a 6 month break a few years ago). It sounds like hormonal changes caused by going off the pill. My body did some weird things and even acted like I was pregnant . If your body is used to the birth control hormones, it might take a couple cycles for your body to level out. As far as the headaches go, I get headaches from everything, and there's not much that has helped. The best thing is to try to figure out what type of headache you're having--sinus, tension, migraine, cluster, rebound...your doctor can help you, but it often takes a few visits to nail down what's going on. Good luck!
