Bloody show?

This is a total TMI post- but.....

Three days ago (Wednesday) I had my membranes swept.  Immediately afterwards I lost part of my mucus plug and then I lost the rest of it later that day (I am positive about this, it was a textbook mucus plug).  I spotted for about an hour, and then nothing "down below". 

Yesterday I started having serious diarrhea every time I ate.  It was the type of thing that I was glad I was home cuz I might not have made it lol.  Had some cramping and general yuckiness, some contractions but nothing regular, slept pretty good although I can tell the baby has dropped even more (he has been "engaged" for 3 weeks) b/c my pelvic bones are absolutely killing me. 

Today I am having the same problem with diarrhea and more frequent but still not regular contractions.  And when I went to the bathroom and wiped I had A LOT of brownish/clearish very thick mucus.  This has happened twice now in a row.  I read that this can be the bloody show, and it is an indication of real (early) labor.  At my last OB appointment I was 1.5cm dilated and 50-60% effaced. 

So of course I am wondering- am I in labor?  I am having the tightening/crampy contractions and baby is pretty active between them.  I am hoping to go this weekend b/c my OB is on call and she is out of the office all next week lol.  Thoughts?

    This sounds a lot like the day I went into labor last week.. I think this could be it for you!! Make sure you try to walk a lot today, it will get the contractions going and more consistent. Good luck!! ;)
