So we all laughed about the need ot use the bathroom by ourselves yesterday but here is a true story (relayed to me by my mom just a few minutes ago) about why I really do need to use the bathroom ALONE.
Ky wanted to wear panties at my mom's house today. No biggie, she has hardwwod floors so messes wipe right up. Ky's playroom and the bathroom are directly across from each other. My mom was in the kitchen finishing up dishes and realized Ky ran down the hall to go potty quite a bit ago. She assumed she was in the playroom and went looking for her. She found Ky not in the playroom but in the bathroom holding an unwrapped tampon (my mom has a few in one of her drawers for when we are over) with her panties off trying to figure out what to do with it next. The folowing conversation ocurred.
Mom: What are you doing?
K: Mommy do it. Dada do it
Mom: Give me the tampon Ky.
K: No, mommy do it, dada do it.
Mom: Yes well Ky will not do it *takes tampon*
Mom then proceeded to hide the rest of them where Ky could not reach and lead her out of the bathroom. I laughed so hard I was in tears. This my friends is why I need to pee alone, my two year old knows what to do with a tampon...
Re: Why I need to pee alone
oh my goodness. We asked the pediatrician when we needed to worry about E being in the bathroom with us. She said we have awhile. He is nearly 11 months. Note to self - "awhile" is somewhere between 11 months and 2 years old.
I would say it was around 18 months when she really started paying attention to what exactly we are doing in the bathroom. Usually she jsut tells us we are "big girl" for going potty or wants to brush her hair or wants lotion or something like that. I never realized she was paying *that* much attention to tampons. Now I think we will kick her out for that part of things but we only shut our bathroom door if company is over so that may be harder than it should be.
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!
finally blogging again at This Will Be: An Adventure
HA! We only have one size since DW is really the only one that uses them (I am a firm believer in In.steads) and she is pretty consistent her whole cycle. I might have to think about buying the variety box jsut for the learning experience though lol.
