Do you send a thank you note for a card? I've received a few cards congratulating me from my direct reports. I'd like to acknowledge their well wishes, but it seems weird to send a thank you card for a card. What's the verdict?

    I don't know that I would for a card.  In that instance, I usually just text or FB message them to say thank you for the card that way.

    I don't send a thank you card for a card unless there was a gift card or cash in it. Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't see a need to write a formal note.  When I see the person face to face I would just mention it to them that you appreciated the card.
