Weekend?

Re: Weekend?

  • Fri: I have a lot of post work errands. I have to drop Ky at Ann's parents. Go to the mall to pick up my shirt I have on hold for tomorrow, go to the grocery, and go to the pet food store for dog food. Oh and I am in charge of buying Ann's dad's father's day gift...I also would like to clean the house since I will be out all day on Saturday.

    Sat: Pride

Sun: We have a Father's day lunch at Ann's parents house and are supposed to stop by my parent's house at some point in the evening.

  • Today:  Work, then rush home and franticly (sp) pack for Chicago.  Drive to Evanston.

Sat: Visit with my family and meet Fiona in the hospital (cousin's baby who was born super early).

Sun: Not sure, hang out with another set of friends, I think.  Eat at Over Easy.  Lawd, how I love that place.

Mon: Hang out with 2 or 3 other sets of friends/family.

Tues: Drive home!  Long weekend of fun :)  This might be our last hurrah as a two-some!

  • Tonight - regular night. Not sure if we will grill or go out to eat.

Tomorrow  - L is going to water aerobics and then to a hotel to write. I am going to take the cat and the kids to the vet so we can get baseline bloodowork on the cat in order to start him on anti-anxiety medication in order to hopefully stop his inappropriate urinating. If these doesn't work, we are going to have to put him to sleep because at this point, we already have to have parts of our hardwoods replaced and perhaps the playroom carpet. Sigh. Get home, feed the kids lunch, and then take them to the bounce place for a birthday party. Home to rest and then drop them off at the gym for Parents Night Out. No idea what L and I are going to do.

Sunday - L is going to work part of the day before coming home. No idea what the kids and I are going to do. It is supposed to be beautiful out, so we might hit up a newly renovated playground that is supposed to be awesome. We also need to do a bit of school work (their teacher sent home a workbook that we are supposed to complete this summer so they don't lose their skills. ) We have a ton of stuff to grill, so I assume we will grill for dinner.

  • Home with E with a fever today.  So nice to be home with him and worried about him all at the same time.  Waiting for his ped to call back.

Tonight - DW is out of town today but will be home early. I hope for a nice family walk, healthy dinner, and some quiet time.

Saturday - Market in the morning, in part to get yummy food for my dad's Father's Day gift.  Then some time at home before I need to take my dog to her other mom.  (yes I have a very lesbionic dog custody arrangement- now it's out there). Then back here for a movie night for the adults with two other couples.

Sunday - Up early to drive to lunch with my dad and mom and sister and her partner.  My parents don't know I am coming.  Then back for some time with DW and E.

thats a great idea.  Andrea and I were just talking last night about getting sprout some tutoring this summer to avoid the "summer slip".

  • Fri: I need to go to Kinkos to print the banners/water bottle labels/decorations for Ava's (I can use her new name!) party.  I also need to get cake supplies and bake her cake tonight.  I have to find Lemonheads too, a LOT of them.  I need to call the sandwich shop and order food for the party, buy water bottles, and put goodie bags together.  Movie night for the kids tonight, probably with a treat since I'm going to drag them all over. Sat:  Set up for the party.  Try to shower before everyone gets here.  Party!  Sun:  J wants to go cherry picking and is going to invite her Dad (the whole family) for Father's Day.

Friday - C's work has group "happy hours" that apparently run from about 5-9 and include dinner.  I'll head down after work to meet her co-workers and boss.  I wish I had remembered that when I got dressed this morning.

Saturday - In the morning I'm volunteering at the food bank while C catches up on some work.  Prime and hopefully paint the room we're turning into a walk-in closet.

Sunday - Continuing to unpack/organize, and hopefully we'll fit in a fun activity too. Unpacking is going really slowly, but I can't just do that my whole weekend every weekend. Maybe celebrate my birthday?  I guess we probably should, it's Monday.

  • It's been an interesting week here...I'll post about it elsewhere. But TGIF.

Tonight: Out with a dear friend from my old workplace. Dinner, drinks and to see Vic.ci Mar.tinez (local lesbian singer who was on The Voice last year) who I've been following for a few years now. Should be a fun night.

Tomorrow: Getting the windows tinted on my lesbaru with a group.on deal. Beyond that, some errands and lots of chores and organizing at home.

Sunday: Sleep. More stuff at home.

It's a really long story and would be even funnier if it were fiction.  As a non-fiction story it is not very amusing....ridiculous even....but I am finally finding some humor in it.

Ditto. We have a similar situation. We don't share custody, per se, but my ex watches our dog (who used to live with me and said ex) when we travel. "Lesbionic dog custody arrangement"... I'm going to use that!  :)

"Things separate from their stories have no meaning. They are only shapes. Of a certain size and color. A certain weight. When their meaning has become lost to us they no longer have even a name. The story on the other hand can never be lost from its place in the world for it is that place.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing

Good luck with both of these things.  It's great you are able to support M and her dad through this...I know it is hard.
