Thoughts on Aveeno baby bath items?

Better than the usual Johnsons stuff? Same? Not worth the price?

Just curious. I use it on myself and wondered how the baby stuff was...

  • I like it. It's really mild and the boys' skin is so soft after bath time.

  • That is all I use.  DS has ezcema and Aveeno is what the pedi recommended.  It's very mild.

  • I use regular adult Aveeno lotion on DS's face after he broke out with baby acne.  I'm not sure if it was the lotion that did it, but it cleared up pretty quickly and his skin is super soft!

  • I used it on DS when he first came home and I was able to give him a real bath (after umbilical cord stump fell off, circ was healed, etc).... and he broke out in a nasty rash.  I think he has sensitive skin (just like mommy!), so I am afraid to use it again.  We've been sticking with J&J and that has worked just fine for us.
  • DS had baby acne and we used aveeno baby for it as per pedi's advice - worked great.  Now it is all we use.  It is oatmeal based and supposed to be better for babies with sensitive skin.  We love it.
  • I use it for ds..he has very sensitive skin as I do and its what the pedi recommended. I had to switch from the lavender stuff to just the sensitive/hypoallergenic one. I like it.
  • I dont think you 'need' to use it all the time. its really good when skin gets a little drier. i use the lotion now since its winter.

  • I use the Aveeno creamy bath wash and baby lotion on DS. They both work well on his dry skin (he has SUPER dry skin like his mommy). ?I also like that most of the Aveeno products are paraben-free.

  • I like them because I can get them fragrance-free which means pthalate-free, and they still smell nice because of the oatmeal.  Plus it REALLY makes DD's skin soft.  I was using Burt's Bees & I like Aveeno better.
