Trying to Get Pregnant

What do you take for bloat?

I usually never get severely bloated with my period but this month I am so bloated and uncomfortable.  I gained 6 pounds in 2 days!!  So what do you take to combat the period-induced bloating?

Re: What do you take for bloat?

  • Drink a lot of water. It might take a day or two but I'd do that over taking a diuretuc any day.

  • I wore a slim fitting wedding gown and was obsessed with the idea of looking bloated in my wedding gown. I drank a lot of green tea which works great (and yummy!)
  • I have always found relief in hot water with lemon. Try to avoid high salt intake & high sugar. You can try coffee or tea. Bloating is a pain. Hope you feel better.

This!  I get really bad bloating some months.  Lots and lots of water have helped.  I also agree with a PP on green tea.  That's helped me as well.

  • Agreed with what all the PPs said about water. Also watch out for soda, even diet, as much as I love it.  It usually has sodium in it!  Tea and things are good though because caffeine can act as a diuretic.

  • I don't eat refined carbs or any processed sugar.  Tons of veggies and very lean protein helps me.
  • water intake, also increase fruits and veggies that help with that. Cantelope, asparagus etc. GL....
