If you've done delestrogen and PIO at the same time

Did you do both injections on the same side, or "spread the pain"? 

I've been doing both on the same side, so that each side gets a 48 hour "break" but the last two times my husband has done a delestrogen injection with a PIO injection I get what almost looks like a rash that starts about 1/2 inch below injection site and is about two inches long and 1/2 wide.  I get a little nervous, because I actually have a number of allergic reactions to medicine in the past that have landed me in the ER.

I'm hoping it's just that the injections are too close in proximity, and I'm going to ask the nurses today, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

    I do 2 PIO injections per day and do am left side / pm right side.

    i did them both on the same side. 

    i never had rash.  i did develop allergy to pio in sesame oil and had to switch to ethyl oleate.

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    I do one on each side. I don't have any knots or anything, so it's not a lot of pain to spread around...

    Me: 36, DH: 42
    Dx: DOR and MFI

    DH: low count + very low motility; hormones all normal; Sperm DNA Frag. test = poor to fair; male karyotyping normal
    Me: FSH 13.4 + AMH 0.26 + hypothyroidism; Scratch the hypothyrodism (?); Blood clotting and immune panel all negative; endometrial biopsy normal

    IVF #1 (MDLF - Jul/Aug 2011): BFN (9R, 5M, 3F with ICSI, 3dt of 1 10-cell grade 2, no frosties)
    IVF #2 (EP-antagonist - Sep/Oct 2011): BFN (6R, 4M, 3F w/ ICSI, 3dt of 1 6-cell, 1 7-cell, grade 4s, no frosties)
    DE IVF #1 (shared cycle - June 2012): c/p (6R, 6F w/ICSI, 3dt 1 8-cell grade A- and 1 7-cell grade A-; no frosties)
    DE IVF #2 (shared cycle with new donor - Nov/Dec/ 2012): - BFP!!!!! 12/14/12. U/S on 12/27 shows twins!!!!!

    Long awaited FET on 9/3. 2TFR'ed.
    BFP on FRER 5dp5dt: IN SHOCK!
    Beta1 9/10: 152.7! Beta2 9/12: 378! Beta3 9/14: 1224! 

    1st ultrasound 10/1: TWO beautiful heartbeats!  Overjoyed!

    I dis them both on the same side, since I did the shots at the same time.

    I don't remember getting a rash. Just the regular annoyances that come with PIO and a little extra sore.

    Hope your booty is ok.

    The first time did PIO I did get an allergic reaction. You should definitely let your doctor know....they probably wouldn't want you to continue on it. There are also two types, sesame or peanut so switching may help. The 2 IVF doctors I have had since wouldn't let me use it when I got the rash.
