I know there have been a lot of facebook rants lately, but this is less of a rant more of a confused question.
So this morning I was checking my facebook, and as so many of you all have had the pleasure of seeing I saw a pg. announcement.
It was a little girl in a chair holding a sign that said "I'm going to be a big sister in March 2013". At first I had the normal jenvious reaction, but then I remembered that, having ovulated 3 days ago, if I were to have a successful pregnancy I would be due March 5th.
So, is it even possible to know that you are pregnant if you are due in March? I guess she could be 8 dpo, but that is a little (well a LOT) early to announce. Is she confused?
ETA: 2013, not 2012...I'm a bit slow today.
Re: Is this even possible? (fb bfp mentioned)

BFP#1: 9-13-11 EDD: 5-26-12 MMC: 11-4-11 D&C: 11-8-11
BFP#2: 7-6-12 Elizabeth Faye ("Zuzu") born 3-21-13
Hmmmmmm, did it really say March 2012 or did you mean to type 2013? But yes, that would be too early because if I were to get a positive result this cycle my EDD would be March 6th I think. I'm confused too! Either way, sorry you had to see it. HUGS

PGAL/PAL Always Welcome
Yes, I meant 2013, I will fix that.
Their first kid was super pre-mature so that pregnancy wasn't without complication, which is why this is even more surprising to me.
Ha ha ha! I totally correct the date in my head!
My reading skills are seriously lacking...
Maybe they're actually due in February and had her last period in May, got the BFP this month, then added 9 months to the BFP date because they're completely idiotic. Since this ain't their first rodeo, they should know better, but there are a lot of really stupid people in the world.
Which adds to the theory I'm developing that all one has to do to get a baby is be a complete and utter moron or have no business having a child. Seems to work for a lot of people.

BFP 7/1/12 - Counting down to our little girl, EDD 3/8/13
This. Either she doesn't know how to calculate a due date or the pee is still wet on the stick. Either way, these announcements make my eyes roll because I'm so jaded. People who announce their pregancies all willy-nilly like everything will be perfect......GL to her!

Ugh. I almost feel sorry for her in a way. Every time I have a friend post on FB about how they just got their BFP, I cringe. I am so glad that I didn't announce. The people that knew, asked when I would and I said "I just want to see if everything is progressing the way it should." Even then, I didn't think I would announce until the A/S. Needless to say, that never happened and I am so glad I didn't announce.
A friend of mine announced her BFP on May 28th and then put a status about an ectopic on June 6th. I felt so sorry for her.

I've thought about this. I would like to have that kind of strength and those kinds of people in our lives.
ALL of this. Totally agree. When I saw this pic I was thinking, man, people are brave.
I'm thinking 2 things: 1) This girl isn't too bright. 2) She definitely is telling before the stick was even dry.
Grrrrr

This is crazy talk. Unless she is right around 3 weeks-which could happen, but goodness! I can see both sides but I never personally will announce until I'm further along. FX that nothing goes bad with her pregnancy.
On a different note, looks like me, you, and Quigly are all in the same boat! I O'd two days ago as did Quigly, and you O'd three days ago! We can be POAS buddies :-)
