Re: Sharp Pelvic Pain

  • I get them on and off, like when I stand up after sitting for awhile or move to fast, thinking its stretching ligaments. If it becomes constant and worse I would take it easy and maybe consult your OB.

  • I have had it on and off my whole pregnancy. My doctor says if it's temporary and bearable or if it gets better by changing positions then it is probably round ligament pain. That's actually a good thing. You know things are growing and changing in there!
  • Thank you ladies. Makes me be a little more at ease. My next appt is Thursday so I will defiantly speak to my doctor about it.

  • I'm only six weeks and I have cramps every day it seems.

My pain is all over my stomach and sometimes way down low. It's either constipation or all of the changes going on down below.

  • I have exactly the same thing ill stand up and have a random sharp pain. Last week I also had lots of random cramps I thought they were my period cramps and when I did more research it said it was the baby connecting to my uterus and your uterus is stretching.
  • Definitely sounds like round ligament pain.  I'm experiencing it too.

It's round ligament pain. Had it from first tri all the way through third tri. Just wait until those charlie horses come around-- from second trimester onward I woke up to those almost every morning! I also had siatica, which I really hope no one on this board ends up with. More painful than labor at times... it's like someone stabbing knives into your butt/lower back (mine hasn't gone away yet either).

LOL sry have I scared you yet? GL hope it gets better for you!

  • My cramps can be sharp if I move too quickly or am too active. They aren't severe or unbearable, but they can get annoying.
