I went into labor on my own on June 12th At 5 am. We arrived at the hospital by 10:30am where I was checked inat 4cm dilated. I got to 10 cm with no fetal distress like I had with my first. The puashing started around for an hour, they then decided to haveme labor down for a while. Once I did that and we started pushing again it was clear that to my OB that baby was not going to move down or fit under my pubic bone. 

 

I was crushed that I had made it that far with my VBAC plans, even going into labor on my own a few days early and everything. That being said a happy and healthy baby was the goal so to c/s we went.

 

Brennanwas born via c/s at 9:37pm he weighed 9lbs even. Once I heard that I knew the only way he was coming out was a C/S he was so wedged in that they har to push him out of the birth canal and pull him out using a cork screw-like motion. It was an intense c/s b.c of that. I am hoping to go home today.

    I'm sorry you didn't get your successful VBAC like you were hoping but congratulations on your new baby boy! Happy to hear everyone is healthy and well!!

    Yay, Lauren! Congratulations! I'm sorry your VBAC didn't work out but I hope you feel at peace knowing that you got to try and it just wasn't meant to be. By the way, holy 9 lbs, that's awesome. I hope your recovery is going well and that you got to go home today. Update us on the ATL board with how the transition home goes with the boys. That's the part I'm nervous about....take care of yourself!
