I hate to cook!

My kitchen is the same size as my bathroom. Ugh. We live in a 800sqft. Apartment, cooking in my kitchen is NOT fun. Also no dishwasher and no disposal. I need good ideas for stuff for DS that are quick, easy and don't take a lot of counter space!

Re: I hate to cook!

  • Do you cook for you and YH? Could you give him what you have? Can't say that I blame you for not wanting to cook, that sounds hard!

  • I hear ya!  I too have a small kitchen, but even if I had a larger one I still wouldn't want to cook!  Have you tried using a crock pot?  Just throw everything into it in the morning and by dinner time it will be ready.

DH and I work opposite of each other so were not home together for dinner very often. And when we are, it's late. Usually 8 so DS is either getting ready for bed or already in bed. So when DS needs dinner I'm not hungry yet.
  • Hmmm...grilled cheese is pretty fast and easy. I've even made it in the toaster oven instead of actually grilling it, it works well that way w/o the butter which I'm not too keen on giving much of. It's also pretty quick to cook some diced chicken in a little olive oil and garlic, throw in some (jarred) garlic and onions, maybe some oregano. DD really likes that. Otherwise a lot of times I just open a can of veggies and cut up some fruit.

  • Music + a glass of wine. I can be in the smallest kitchen and cooking is phenomenal.
