I was just looking over my registry online, and I didn't register for a shopping cart seat cover. Does anyone have any experience with these? Is it something that I should register for? Let me know what you think!
I would definitely put one on your registry/buy one. Make sure it one that covers all around the front though. We had a cover that only covered the front and the back of the front part of the cart and my daughter still tried to get her mouth on the side bars *eww*. I had to go and buy one that covered the whole front part where you put the baby. Plus, she also found it easier to fall asleep when we were shopping because it was so nice and comfy she would just lay on one of the plush toys and go to sleep!
This is just my opinion but I find them annoying. As in you have to remember to have them with you all the time. And i'd feel like once I used it once, i'd need to wash it. Sometimes I go to the store spur of the moment also. I used it once in a high chair and it annoyed me.
Our local grocery store has clorox wipes at the entrance and I keep a container of them in the diaper bag. I always wipe off all the areas dd touches in the cart and high chairs before putting her in.
Re: Shopping cart seat cover??
I've registered for one, but heard they were a complete waste of money...
I also saw a woman using one in one of those wooden seats at a restaurant and thought it was a good idea... I'm clueless.

MIL bought ours and I think we used it exactly twice.
It was such a pain to 1.) remember and 2.) get in the dang cart.
I learned instead to carry a sm package of disinfectant wipes and give the cart a quick swab before DS got in. That worked better for us.
